Canada's Top Young Leaders Head to the Summit

Global Vision/Junior Team Canada is pleased to announce 27 of Canada's top young leaders will represent our country at the upcoming G8/G20 Summits. Global Vision/Junior Team Canada was selected by Prime Minister Harper to  organize the official youth program.   The youth have been chosen from a national talent search, to work alongside youth leaders from the other G8/G20 countries.  At the G8, youth will be discussing the key issues facing our countries such as maternal health, food security, terrorism and nuclear proliferation and climate change.  At the G20 youth will have the opportunity to discuss these issues further, developing a strategy for future partnerships with their new global leader network.

National Youth Caucus Comes to a Close

Wow, what a great caucus with a great group of involved young leaders.  Today we find ourselves in caucus withdrawal.  Everything is quiet, save for a few phone calls and a bunch of emails.  There is also deliberation taking place on the participants for My SUMMIT 2010.

Looking back over the past few days at all of the interesting and inspiring people we have met, and many of them much younger than ourselves, reminds us we are never too old to be inspired by those younger than us.  We certainly look forward to keeping in touch with all of you on My Global Vision, and seeing all of the projects and work which you do.  In the wise words of Dr. Seuss, Oh the Places You'll go!
